Since 2003 originating in Belo Horizonte Brazil, the Savassi Festival has focused on jazz and instrumental music It now is a matrix of musical activities that includes contests,recordings, artistic collaborations, exhibitions, artistic residencies and a host of live concerts, exhibiting the full spectrum of Jazz .

Now in 2013 comes the New York edition of Savassi,totally centered on Brazilian instrumental music including Brazilians and non Brazilians performing Hermeto, Milton to the new wave of Brazilian composers and Brazilian inspired compositions.
