While the weather forecast looks like it could offer more than enough water for most folks this week, the city has begun opening its summer aquatic centers.

Monday, Mayor Greg Ballard and other officials unveiled the newest addition to the more than 30 outdoor facilities: a guitar-shaped spray pad that is replacing a pool at Wes Montgomery Park. Like the city’s other spray parks, it’s already open for business — free of charge, dawn to dusk.
