International jazz festival Koktebel Jazz Party is set to become one of the biggest international events in Crimean cultural life. Scheduled for September 12-15, 2014 the festival will be held in Koktebel, a picturesque and cozy coastal town in Crimea.

The four-day festival brings together some of the best jazz bands from all over the world. In 2014, Koktebel Jazz Party will be held on three stages. The main open-air stage, located on the beach, will feature performances by the most prominent musicians. People will be able to enjoy the quality music, learn about contemporary jazz trends and listen to their favorite performers. The second open stage will host first-time performances by young musicians. The third one will gather those who like classical blues and jazz.

Some of the brightest stars of the jazz world are planning to participate in Crimea’s festival such as the US trumpeter Tom Harrell, singer Deborah Brown and drummer Jamal Thomas, quintet Maraca & Ramon from Cuba, Club des Belugas from Germany, Russian jazz legend Valery Ponomaryov and pianist Yakov Okun.

Koktebel Jazz Party is a draw for music lovers around the world. The festival seeks to discover fresh young talents and introduce world renowned musicians to new audiences. The festival is not only about bringing world-class jazz to Crimea; it’s about creating an atmosphere of freedom for festivalgoers — a merger of music, sea, body and soul.

The festival is organized by Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency and its head Dmitry Kiselev. It is also receiving support from Russia’s Ministry of Culture.
