This phenomenal Czech pianist, composer, arranger and producer is widely recognised as one of the most sought-after and genre-free jazz musicians in Europe.
She graduated in composition from the Janaček Conservatory in Ostrava in 1998 and mastered in composition, jazz composition and arrangement at the University of Massachusetts in 2004.Nominated for a Czech “Grammy Award” for her first album Joy for Joel, she won the award twice for her collaborative projects with Lenka Dusilova.

Lila Ammons, born in Chicago, has forged a path in music that at once honours tradition and her own expressive impulses.
Beginning her vocal career in opera houses and concert halls, she later returned to her familial roots in jazz and blues tradition. She is the niece of tenor sax titan Gene “Jug” Ammons and the granddaughter of the great boogie woogie pianist, Albert
Ammons.
