Brazilian Vocalist  Maucha Adnet performed, toured and recorded with legendary composer Antônio Carlos Jobim and Banda Nova for ten years.

For this performance, she will be supported by Brazilian musicians Helio Alvez (piano) and Duduka DaFonseca (drums) and Austrian bassist Hans Glawishnig.

Jobim was the most popular composer of bossa novas and has been “considered one of the most important songwriters of the 20th century.

Adnet toured and recorded numerous albums with Jobim, including the Grammy Award winning “Antonio Brasiliero;” he called her voice “deep, rich and mysterious.”

Alvez  played withJoe Henderson, Phil Woods, Slide Hampton, Airto and others.

DaFonseca mastered drums in Bossa Nova’s 1950s surge.

In Brazil and U.S. he’s played with Jobim, Astrud Gilberto, Herbie Mann,John Scofield, Gerry Mulligan, Kenny Barron, and many more.
