Lisa Yves is an American Jazz vocalist with a twist of retro soul. Like Cyndi Lauper and Lady Gaga, Lisa was born in Queens, New York, where she started to sing and play piano at age 10. She decided at a very early age that she wanted to be like Carole King and Barbra Streisand. Lisa attended New York University where she was the first female jazz vocalist and received her bachelors degree in Vocal jazz performance. Lisa Studied with jazz legends Marion Cowings, Kim Kalesti, and Joe Lovano. Lisa has sung with Harry Connick Jr., Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops and starred in Rocker Moms, a TV reality series. She currently works with producer Crit Harmon and Emmy award winning musician Brad Hatfield. Other musicians on her album, Jazzy little Soul are Marty Ballou, Jim Gwin, Duke Levine, Steve Sadler, Paul Ahlstrand, Jeff Galindo, Walter Platt and Emily Marks. She has recorded for the Bose Company with Dave McKenna and has recorded with Peter Kontrimas.
