The Chicago Jazz Orchestra’s (CJO) highly anticipated summer residency at the Jazz Showcase is in full swing, with an exciting lineup of performances scheduled for July. This second month of the residency continues the orchestra’s tradition of showcasing exceptional talent and celebrating the art of jazz.

Mark your calendars for these fantastic performances: 

– July 7 : Dan Trudell, a master of the B3 organ.

– July 14 : Abigail Riccards, a gifted vocalist. 

– July 21: Thaddeus Tukes, an acclaimed vibraphonist. 

– July 28 : Scott Burns, a renowned saxophonist.

This residency is a continuation of the Chicago Jazz Orchestra’s legacy of delivering world-class jazz performances. Established in 1978, the CJO is Chicago’s oldest continuously operating professional jazz orchestra and has earned a reputation for excellence on both a national and international scale. Over the decades, the orchestra has performed with some of the biggest names in jazz and has been lauded as the best big band in the country by the legendary Clark Terry.
