August brings another great jazz festival to the summer season…

WHERE RIVERS MEET SUMMER JAZZ FESTIVAL

to the beautiful South Lawn of North Carolina’s historic Tryon Palace.

Headlining this inaugural outdoor festival is Gregory Porter, DownBeat Magazine’s “Jazz Artist of the Year”  and the 2014 Grammy winner for Best Jazz Vocal Album.

Also appearing is the acclaimed jazz pianist/composter Helen Sung of the Helen Sung Quintet, and the first place winner of teh 2012 Monterey Jazz Festival’s Next Generation Jazz, Elevations.

Gates open at 5:00pm, and the festival begins at 6:00pm.  Bring lawn chairs and a meal.  Tickets are $28 per person, and three (3) cildren ages 12 and under are admitted free with one paying adult.
