Villa ArconatiNear the EXPO area, in September kicks off at Villa Arconati the first edition of ” Italian Jazz Fest ” festival for Italian jazz talents. The show, promoted by two non-profit organizations in the city of Bollate (near Milan), is intended to raise italian talents, both lesser-known and more popular, during several days in each of which you can attend two concerts. The festival will take place in the seventeenth-century Villa Arconati, the splendid “Lombard Versailles “, in 8th, 9th and 30th September 2015 with a full program of concerts. At each date will be performing emerging groups in the early evening hours (7:00 p.m.) and the most famous in the evening (9:30 pm).

Thanks to the collaboration of the Civic Jazz Courses in Milan directed by Enrico Intra, the earlier concerts of 8th and 30th September will be performed by bands of students from this prestigious school of jazz: Tuesday, September 8th the Guitar Duo, with the extraordinary participation of bassist Marco Vaggi, and Wednesday, September 30th Eazy Quartet, a quartet of flute, bass, guitar and drums. Wednesday, September 9th, instead, will perform an unusual band composed by a female jazz trio called Fragaria Vesca Trio and an actress from Theatre Gost: female ensemble which will narrate (and play) about the “jazz ladies” story.avant

For the “most famous” section (concerts at 9:30 pm), the festival will be started on September 8th, by Avant Orchestra from Novate M.se, a big band with 15 jazz musicians with extraordinary curriculum; the Avant Orchestra presents this year his first album, “Let Ring”, a mix of their own songs and performances of daring (for example, the score of the arrangement that Duke Ellington wrote for Nutcracker Suite and Peer Gynt ). Afterwards, in the evening of 9th September, the vocal quintet Alti &Bassi, will present their sixth album, which in 2015 received two nominations CARA, the most important world prize dedicated to a cappella music, such as “Best Jazz Album” and ” Best European Album “. The exhibition closes on 30th September with Franco Cerri, icon of Italian jazz and person of great human depth, who will play his guitar with Alberto Gurrisi at hammond organ.
