Cairn University presents “An Evening of Jazz and Gospel Music” on March 13 at 6pm at GraceWay Bible Church (1934 Klockner Rd, Hamilton Township, NJ). The concert is organized by New York saxophonist Daniel Bennett and gospel choir director Deion Payton. Cairn University recently enlisted Daniel Bennett to lead the jazz program at the school. Bennett travels from Manhattan to Langhorne, Pennsylvania every week. Cairn University is a private Christian school that equips students to impact the world through a liberal arts education. The school maintains high academic standards while also focusing on Christian values and integrity. Daniel Bennett directs the Cairn jazz ensembles and teaches jazz theory, jazz history and composition lessons. Cairn University has built a global reputation as a leader in classical music instruction. The school recently expanded to include jazz education. Saxophonist Daniel Bennett is known throughout the world as a touring bandleader and educator. NPR described Daniel Bennett’s music as, “synergistic Jazz.” GraceWay Bible Church hosts public performances throughout the year. The March 13th concert will feature the Cairn Jazz Ensemble and the Cairn Gospel Choir. The concert is free and open to the public.
